About me
Dad of three daughters, I live in Gembloux, Belgium. By training, I'm a biologist — I've kept from that a fascination for evolution, natural selection, and science in general. Fairly quickly I found myself coding, and it became my job.
Outside of work: CrossFit, hiking, a few microadventures, music, lots of science fiction, and quite a bit of open source tinkering.
Professional availability
Developer with experience in backend and fullstack software development, I'm currently actively looking for opportunities. Meticulous and quality-oriented, I'm comfortable on projects that value good practices, open source, and automation.
My atypical background — biology then development — has taught me to approach problems methodically and with an analytical eye. I'm open to positions in Belgium or remote.

Horn and brass band
I play horn in the Fanfare de Morialmé. I also like rewriting my sheet music when it's illegible, or transposing it — going from E♭ to F is often necessary for the horn and happens to me regularly.
Every year, the band takes part in the Saint-Pierre festival in Morialmé, a local celebration I'm fond of.
